Rotary Club of Tinsukia organized a Rabies Awareness Session at Hijiguri Hindi ME School, opposite TSK Railway Station, Hijiguri, Tinsukia on 6th November 2025 at 11:00 AM. The session was conducted by Dr. Rabi Shankar Choudhury, who educated students and community members on rabies — a 100% fatal but entirely preventable disease. Topics covered included identifying symptoms, correct response to animal bites, importance of timely post-exposure vaccination, and responsible pet ownership. The programme aimed to equip school students with life-saving health knowledge and contribute to community-level rabies elimination. The event was coordinated by Rtn. Chandra Paul under the leadership of President Rtn. Bhanu Pratap Jain.
