RYLA 2026 – Shaping Leaders, Serving the World

The event was designed to nurture leadership qualities, self-confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and social responsibility among young participants. A unique “Buddy For A Day, Friend For A Lifetime” concept paired participants together, fostering empathy, inclusion, friendship, and mutual learning. The programme included motivational sessions, leadership workshops, group discussions, team-building exercises, cultural performances, recreational activities, and interactive learning experiences. A special focus was placed on integrating students of Moran Blind School with mainstream youth participants, creating an environment of equality, respect, and understanding. The initiative helped participants develop compassion, leadership skills, and a deeper appreciation of diversity and inclusion. The programme concluded with cultural presentations, recognition of outstanding participants, and a commitment by all attendees to become responsible leaders and active contributors to society

HPV Vaccination Drive for Girls

Rotary Club of Tinsukia, in collaboration with the Health Department, organized an HPV Vaccination Drive at the Rotary Community Centre, Tinsukia, to promote preventive healthcare and protect adolescent girls against Human Papillomavirus (HPV), one of the leading causes of cervical cancer. The initiative focused on creating awareness about cervical cancer prevention and ensuring access to life-saving vaccination for eligible beneficiaries. Qualified healthcare professionals administered the vaccines under proper medical supervision while maintaining all safety protocols. The project reinforced Rotary’s commitment to disease prevention and treatment by supporting public health initiatives and encouraging preventive healthcare practices within the community. The vaccination drive contributed towards building a healthier future for young girls and spreading awareness about the importance of immunization.

HPV Vaccination Drive - Cervical Cancer Prevention

Rotary Club of Tinsukia organized an HPV Vaccination Drive on 11th February 2026 at Tinsukia, in partnership with Team Pratishruti, to combat cervical cancer — one of the most preventable yet deadly cancers affecting women. 28 young beneficiaries received the life-saving HPV vaccine, taking a powerful step toward a healthier and cancer-free future. The drive was excellently coordinated by Rtn. Dr. G. S. Gogoi, with dedicated on-ground support from Rtn. Sikha Gogoi and Rtn. Fowzia Tasneem. Cervical cancer claims thousands of Indian womens lives annually — early vaccination remains the most effective shield. Through this initiative, Rotary Club of Tinsukia reaffirmed its commitment to preventive healthcare, womens well-being, and community wellness. As our motto for this drive declared — Do Teeke Zindagi Ke — two doses for a lifetime of protection.

Supporting Women Empowerment

Rotary Club of Tinsukia extended wholehearted support to the Rotary Club of Duliajans Women Empowerment Project — a Sewing School providing skill-based training to underprivileged women to make them self-reliant and economically independent. In response to a formal appeal dated 10.03.2026 (Ref: RCD/25-26/121), our club actively participated in their lottery ticket fundraising initiative. Under the dynamic coordination of Rtn. Prakash Jain, an outstanding 100% assignment of all 50 books was achieved among club members. 37 Rotarians came forward with enthusiasm, embodying the true spirit of Rotary fellowship and inter-club cooperation. Funds raised will support procurement of sewing machines, training materials, and operational resources for the Sewing School. This initiative reflects our commitment to Community Economic Development and womens dignity, financial freedom, and empowerment — because when women rise, communities thrive.

Republic Day Service Visit & Goodies Distribution

Rotary Club of Tinsukia celebrated Republic Day on 26th January 2026 with Flag Hoisting and Fellowship Breakfast at RCC, followed by service visits to Gyanangkush Residential School (under Purbottar Vikash Parishad) and Happy School (Guijan No. 5 Adarsh Primary School), Tinsukia. The club had previously constructed the school building at the Happy School in 2017. Rotarians interacted warmly with students and distributed biscuits, fruits, and chocolates to all children present. The visit reinforced the clubs long-standing bond with these schools and brought joy to the young students on the national occasion. The programme targeted girl students from Classes 6 to 9. Rtn. Dr. Prerna Keshan served as the resource person and delivered an insightful, interactive session sensitizing the girl students on child safety, personal boundaries, recognizing inappropriate touch, and key aspects of female health. The session was highly interactive, with Dr. Keshan engaging directly with students using demonstrations and open dialogue. Dental Health Camp Hijuguri Hindi ME School

Rotary Club of Tinsukia successfully conducted a Dental Health Check Camp at Hijuguri Hindi ME School, Tinsukia on 29th January 2026 in collaboration with IDA Tinsukia Chapter. Six doctors from IDA participated and examined students and staff. A total of 280 students and 12 teachers and office staff were beneficiaries of the camp. Dental check-ups were conducted in an open, accessible setup within the school premises to ensure maximum student participation. The examining dentists observed that a significant number of students showed signs of malnutrition and anemia, and recommended a follow-up medical camp at the school. Rotary Club of Tinsukia has taken note of this finding and plans to organize a comprehensive medical camp as a next step to serve this underserved school community.

The District Rotary Foundation Seminar 2025, held on 29 November at The Solitaire Bliss, Tinsukia, was a grand success with 140 participants, including 110 Rotarians from 24 clubs across the district. Hosted by Rotary Club of Tinsukia, RID 3240, the event was ably anchored by PP Fowzia Tasneem and began with invocation, national anthem, and lamp lighting by Rtn Er Bhanu Pratap Jain. CPR Training Program Life-Saving Skills Initiative

On 13th August 2025, Rotary Club of Tinsukia, in association with Marwari Yuva Manch (Tinsukia Branch and Tinsukia Pragati Branch), organized a hands-on CPR Training Program at Marwari Panchayati Dharmshala, A.T. Road, Tinsukia. The session imparted essential Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation knowledge to community members, focusing on prompt, effective response during cardiac emergencies. Participants practiced CPR techniques using training dummies under expert guidance, empowering attendees to save lives in their communities. Fourteen Rotarians coordinated the event, which effectively fostered community involvement in critical first-aid training. World Breastfeeding Week Awareness Program at IMA

Rotary Club of Tinsukia commemorated World Breastfeeding Week with an awareness program held at IMA House, Tinsukia, on August 7th, 2025.
