Rotary Club of Tinsukia successfully supported a phacoemulsification surgery with acrylic IOL implantation at Lakshmi Eye Care Centre as part of its Women Empowerment Initiative. The beneficiary, Mrs. Mala Sarkar of Tinsukia, received comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, along with prescribed medicines and follow-up guidance. The surgery was conducted under the expert care of Rtn. Dr. Swaraj Bhattacharjee, whose medical service helped restore the patient’s vision and improve her quality of life and independence. This project reflects Rotary’s commitment to accessible healthcare, women’s upliftment, and impactful community service.
