Rotary Club of Tinsukia commemorated World Breastfeeding Week with an awareness program held at IMA House, Tinsukia, on August 7th, 2025. The initiative was a collaborative effort with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Indian Academy of Pediatrics, featuring expert talks by distinguished doctors and interactive sessions with nursing and paramedical students. Eminent speakers such as Dr. Rupam Paul, Dr. Neena Das Dey, and PDG Rtn Dr M S Konwar addressed key health topics, underlining community engagement and societal welfare. A total of 184 participants attended, including 102 nursing and paramedical students, 8 doctors, and 8 Rotarians. The project focused on the importance of breastfeeding, child health, and nutrition, creating a lasting impact on students and healthcare professionals alike. The event was widely covered in local media, amplifying its message to the broader community. Future health awareness projects are also planned.
